exercises to visualize sound using processing

I have started with this exercise because I wanted to be able to read a signal in order to have a trigger that activates my video sequences.

I chose (together with Juan Manuel, my husband) to use PROCESSING it’s a (supposedly) relatively simple programming language for non-programmers to create art works.

Right now I started with a simple signal: sound, but eventually that signal can become a brain-wave signal, or heart beat… etc.
